19 Jan 1861 — H.C. Swan’s station at Fowler’s BayBerggoist, a hutkeeper, was killed at Fowler’s Bay. Two Aboriginal men, Nilgerie and Tilcherie were arrested for the murder and tried before the Supreme Court in August 1861 where they were both found guilty and sentenced to death.

7 Sep 1861 — Fowler’s BayNilgerie and Tilcherie, sentenced to death for the murder of Theodore Berrgoist, were executed at Fowler’s Bay.
