Place: H.C. Swan’s station at Fowler’s Bay
Berggoist, a hutkeeper, was killed at Fowler’s Bay. Two Aboriginal men, Nilgerie and Tilcherie were arrested for the murder and tried before the Supreme Court in August 1861 where they were both found guilty and sentenced to death.
