8 Dec 1865 — Lake Hope station, PerigundeeWilliam Dean’s party of ten station workers, looking for stolen cattle, attacked in the early hours of the morning by a party of about 160 Aboriginal people. One station worker killed, and three others injured in the clash. At least four Aboriginal people killed.
