Fatal spearing of Murlianolo by Kambulta, 7 October 1846

Date: 7 Oct 1846
Place: 4 miles from the settlement of Port Lincoln
During Murpalta’s (Moorpa’s) imprisonment in Adelaide in 1842 and 1843, his wife Murlainolo partnered with Kambulta. On Murpaltla’s return, Murlianolo resumed her relationship with Murpalta. Kambulta speared her during the night of 7 October. Murpalta informed the police of her death, seeking their assistance in bringing Kambalta to justice.
