22 May 1840 — pursuitAfter demanding powder and ball, armed Aboriginal group, said to include Jacky, Winberri and Billy Hamilton raid Waugh's station. watchman and shepherd killed, 528 sheep driven off, and hut raided to 1200 pounds in losses.Sources

“Mr. Waugh, therein-mentioned, removed thither a few months ago from the County of Argyle, with a considerable number of sheep and cattle, with the view of obtaining a station, and ultimately establishing himself there, like many others, being deeply induced, by the circumstance of his farm in that county, the lease of which expires next year, having been purchased by a neighbouring proprietor for his own use—along with his stock, he took a large and valuable supply of agricultural implements and tools, furniture, &c., for his men who accompanied him, all of which, with most of his sheep have been taken away.”
