    The black police under Mr. de Villiers arrived at Mr. Hamilton's station on the Sydney road and received information from an Aboriginal person about the men who had killed Mr. Rutledge's shepherd.

    After an absence of three weeks, the native police returned bringing two Aboriginal prisoners, supposed to be implicated in the murder of Mr. Bowerman's servant and the robbery of Mr. Yaldwyn's sheep.
