Police Trooper Geharty locates a group of Aboriginal people who had threatened a shepherd and stolen his sheep. With European station workers they give chase and run down an old man carrying off one of the sheep. The exhausted man his taken back to the station, but is found dead the next morning, reportedly a consequence of his ‘exertion’ the previous day.
