15 Jul 1847 — Davenport’s station (Mayurra)Police endeavour to arrest Aboriginal people for spearing one of Davenport’s cows. They track them to an island in an immense swamp but are unable to secure the arrest because of the state of the country. In late December they arrest ‘Billy’ and ‘Tuck-in-all’ for the offence.
