8 Nov 1846 — Stoney Creek (near Mount Remarkable)Native Constable Charley, a man from the Broughton district, was killed by Manooka Bidea (alias Billy), either in revenge for the role he played in apprehending those involved in Whitney and Scott’s deaths, or for killing the sister of Manooka Bidea.
