Apprehension of Ngarbi by Hawson and threats made by Ngarbi’s kin, 11 May 1843

Date: 11 May 1843
Place: 2 miles from McEllister’s Station, Port Lincoln district
When Ngarbi was apprended by T Hawson on 11 May 1842, between twenty to thirty of his Countrymen threatened Hawson. They did not attempt a rescue. Ngarbi admitted his involvement in the confrontation at McEllister’s station the previous day, and was known to be one of those involved in the murders at Rolles Biddle’s station in March 1842.
