Hanging of Wang Nucha (Tommy Round Head) at the Adelaide Gaol, 31 May 1839
Wang Nucha (Tommy Round Head) was charged and found guilty for the murder of Mr Hallett’s shepherd, James Thompson, at the Para River on 26 April 1839. His trial took place on 25 May 1839 and he was hanged at the Adelaide Gaol on 31 May 1839.
